Sergeant Atlas loves being a Republican Orbital Commando, but after years of constant bloodshed, something inside the warrior is calling for a new stage of life. Love and peace are calling to the battle-scarred veteran, but all of it must wait in the face of the Marcillian Empire. The amphibious, salamander-like mackerels are looking to kill all of humanity they can, and it’s Atlas’s job, along with his Winter Platoon, to ensure its alien blood makes the orange grass of Pegasus-4 grow. The Gaussian Republic Marines are about to be cut off, and The ROCs must hold the flank until help arrives. To learn to look beyond Death, Atlas must not only survive the fall from space and the adversaries beyond, but he must also make sure his soldiers survive it. There is no quarter, no retreat, and no surrender, only the victors and the dead.
